Here is the third part of my little guide to the 1234 Shoreditch Festival. In case you missed the first two parts you can find them here:

1234 Shoreditch Festival 2011: how to use (part 2)
As said this is announced as the “futuristic rock” festival, meaning that we’ll get to listen to the bands we will be listening to this year. Of course there will be lots of electronic music as well.
Autokratz
It was nice to spot Autokratz amongst this year’s artists. If you read some reviews on the web you will find few positive about them. All because they are not saying anything new. Yes, of course, they came 2-3 years later (which the electronic music world is like ice age) than Digitalism and Justice but they just want to make us dance and if they succeed…well, they’ve done their task. Autoktratz is a duo from London, produced by the famous Paris label Kitsuné (London, Paris, how cool is that?).
I agree that their album Animal doesn’t manage to keep the same level of their opener Always More but, in their defence, these are not album to be listened from top to end. They’re not Radiohead after all.
This is Always More, check out what happens at 2:50, not bad:

Black Strobe
Talking about electronic music and Paris here comes les parisiennes Black Strobe. Keeping up with the french tradition they display a magnificent good taste for rhythm and sound, a bit like some underground 80s european tunes. This new creatured of the tached DJ Arnaud Rebotini fearlessly mixes different genres, from the blues-rock of the famous “I’m a Man” to some heartbreaking disco-funk jams, to an underground techno-house. It would be probably better to get a Black Strobe set in some dark small basement club but let’s see what they can do on the Shoreditch park’s grass.

Christian Aids (Stay +)
It’s quite obvious that the Christian Aids comes from Manchester their sound is as mancunian as the Gallaghers’ accent. Their name is as upsetting as their music (I think they’re gonna change it in Stay + after being sued by a charity) dark and powerful with its pounding beats like what happened in the Haçienda years ago, from the cold wave to the acid house was summed up in their brooding vibes.
This is the video of Stay Positive, as enigmatic as this new band:
